Description of Typhoon Professional Cook's Wire Skimmer
Large wire skimmer for use when shallow or deep frying. Skimmer head is meshed to allow excess oil to drain from food. Ideal for tempura. Able to withstand high temperatures associated with frying.Combining form, function, and style, Typhoon has created a unique line of cookware tools, kitchen gadgets, and dinnerware items that coordinate with a variety of home decors and occasions. Designed with a contemporary flair, many of the housewares products blend a sophisticated sensibility with a retro edginess.
This large wire skimmer, with a wide mesh scoop head measures 17 inches long and is ideal for shallow or deep frying of shrimp, tempura, or french fries. Crafted from durable steel, with a nickel plate finish, the skimmer tolerates high temperatures while the long handle ensures that hands are safely away from the hot oil used for frying.
