I bought a set like these about 8 months ago through my child's school fundraiser. I loved them; they became my new favorite, right up until the time I had left them on a hot plate at a get-together and my so-called friend confiscated them because they are just that awesome. So, I came onto Amazon and ordered some more. Splash a little water on them? No problem; no burnt hands, like cloth ones. And, unlike those monstrous silicone gloves only the beefiest of BBQ grillers can fill, people with small to normal size hands (most women) can use these and not have 2-5 inches of excess flopping into the food when they are pulling a dish out of the oven. They grip great....Also great for simple little things, like lifting a hot lid or holding the side of a pan while cutting something (pizza, meat, brownies, etc., etc.). Just great!!
