We use a ton of garlic in our house and I am always looking for an easier way to chop/mince my garlic. I recently got the Trudeau press and love it. It has a nice weight in the hand ( I hate when the press feels too light) and does a good job with the mincing. Also, I was able to get more than one clove in it...another plus. It's fairly easy to clean (handle flips around to press out the sticking pieces) AND it goes into the dishwasher.Customer Review: Beats the cheap junk

We use this press for garlic and onion for guacamole because we have friends that won't eat shaken spices (go figure). Run it under hot water right away and cleanup is a cinch. The plastic cleaner thing works well, but don't put it in the dishwasher. This tool is heavy and feels like it is meant for business, however it has now been 3 years since I purchased this item and today when I went to squish a rather large clove the hinge broke.Customer Review: Difficult to clean, hard to press

Bought this based on the great reviews, plus its on amazons' 4 for 3 offer. Its got a nice heft to it, and non slip handle is good but it hurts my hands/wrist to squeeze the garlic - not a problem with my old cheaper version which got lost in a move. I cook, my husband cleans, and he hates it when I use this bc washing it is difficult... if you just put it in the dishwasher, you'll end up with garlic still stuck in it afterwards.Customer Review: Trudeau Makes Its Presence Known

Everyone notices this press! So far it has performed well not exceptionally well but well. The rubber prongs could be a tad longer; however, the entire rubber section remains in place. Pressing garlic is a tidy task with the Trudeau, and it is easily cleaned as well. All in all, the best garlic press we have owned.Trudeau Garlic PressCustomer Review: Works great for me

I have bought a few very cheap garlic presses and have been very disappointed.
This press worked great for me. I have strong hands and I found I was able to fit up to 3 cloves in it but find it works better with one or two max. It cleans up well and I haven't had any problems with the rubber cleaning part coming loose.
I do hand wash the unit. Perhaps that is the issue some had with it.
