This lamp looked great...for the first month. I'm a designer who appreciated the clean lines and artsy feel. The first time I went to play with the lamp directions, the base threads got stripped and now it leans off to one side or the other. I'm embarrased for guests to look at it because I have to support it with a lamp against the wall to get it to stand SEMI-straight. If you like the look of this lamp, I suggest getting it from a real furniture or lamp distributor that can stand behind their products. You may pay a little more, but you'll have it for a lot longer.Customer Review: a little heavy, but definitely worth it

It's definitely heavy -- the problem is that the package is bottom-heavy and realtively bulky. It was, however, very easy to assemble -- everything was already connected, so we just had to screw it in. When we turned it on, we realized -- it was DEFINITELY worth the weight -- it completely lit up the room, and served not only as a floor lamp, but also as task lighting -- the gooseneck arms can be bent easily and provide a bright, focused light. The only other flaw with this lamp is that the base of each light gets pretty hot. and the price is great! This lamp is awesome!!Customer Review: Great Lamp!

I purchased this lamp for my sewing room and I think it is the greatest lamp. I had no problems with assembly and no problems with light bulbs. I believe that those who had trouble putting it together used too heavy a hand. I found that when screwing the poles together, if you turn the first two or three turns very slowly the threads will slip right into place and then you can use normal pressure to finish. I liked this lamp so well I bought one for my mother who loves it. It really brightens the whole room and also gives you focused light for close work of any kind.Customer Review: Poor quality stand

The threads, where you screw the lamp stand together, either broke or were too short to hold the weight of the lamp. I have to use a bicycle cord to keep the lamp from falling over.<br />

I had the same problem with another similar lamp (same brand). I returned that one, and the replacement has been fine.<br />

It's too bad, too. We like the "look" of the lamp, and funtionality. But, the stand is cheaply made...at least, the one we have.<br />

This metal lamp is sturdy and very well made except for the plastic white shades, which look basically plastic. The quality of the metal arms is higher than I expected. If you need something that can create indirect light in just the way you want it, you need this lamp. I am amazed at all of the complaints about the flimsy base because there is nothing flimsy about my lamp. I suspect putting the lamp on a thick carpet could be a problem but I find these complaints about the base odd unless all of the complaints were made by one person.
