The number one thing that makes this a perfect cutting board is that knives don't cut into the surface. I hate how wooden cutting boards look after a few years of use - with all the knife marks in it. And silicon boards have the same problem. It is also nice how it can be used for hot bowls/ pots, etc. without burning. So it can easily double as a serving platter for hot foods. And its thin, lightweight material makes it perfect for carrying to the table. The pads on the corners are nicely placed and are really non slip; they also give it just enough lift from the counter that it makes it easy to pick up. I have a large cutting board that lies flush with the counter and when it has anything heavy, it's a chore to move around.
The only negative is that it smells pretty bad when its wet. It has an almost fishy odor, which doesn't affect the taste of food at all but is definitely noticeable when it is wet. I don't know if this will go away with time or after a couple of cycles in the dishwasher.
All in all this is a great cutting board and I will be ordering more.

I have been using this broad for quite some time now and I can say out of all the chopping blocks that I use -- the wooden ones, bamboo ones, plastic sheets-- this one is definitely my favorite. It is amazing the way it resists the sharpest cuts from the sharpest blades. It is unmovable when cutting chicken bones. This is one amazing board and is used daily, but shows no signs on wear. My only gripe? I should have bought a bigger one!!
