Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Todco GR301-SS Stainless Steel Roasted Garlic ExpressCustomer Review: Simple, Cute, and Awesome. Summary: 5 Stars
I purchased this unit at a major discount from a local overstock place. At 24.99 it's great, $75 seems a bit steep.
As for the other reviewers concerns-
1. The unit is coated with teflon on the interior. If you've ever used new teflon, there's pretty much always "burn off" and a little smoke the first time you use it, which goes away quickly and only happens the first time you heat it up.
2. I had no issues at all with steam when I opened my unit at the completion of the cycle. I waited about 5 minutes figuring it would be hot, opened it and used the clip on handle to pull it out.
Overall, the garlic came out fantastic on the auto setting. I had 1 large and 2 medium size bulbs in the roaster, and they all cooked as expected.
Is this a silly, somewhat decadent appliance? YES. Does it work? Absolutely.
Customer Review: Garlic Express Garlic Roaster Summary: 5 Stars
This is an absolute must have item ! Able to roast 1-3 heads of garlic at one time depending on size.
garlic is perfectly roasted in 29 minutes. No need to use the power of the oven, or fire up the bbq.
I love to combine roasted and chopped garlic in some dishes, such as garlic chicken pizza etc.
Customer Review: Tagco Roasted Garlic Express... Summary: 5 Stars
This is everything you'd expect it to be. Works like a charm. The only thing is 27 minutes doesn't roast the garlic to the degree that I like it, so I set it for 10 minutes more... It rocks...
