Customer Review: Unsafe and barely usable warming tray!

I bought this warming tray based on multiple positive reviews and when I got the unit - I very quickly realized that I made a mistake.
Here is why:
1. It has very short power cord. It means that you need to have some pretty large place in the kitchen to plug it in and heat up. You can't do it on a dining table (cord is too short).
2. It heats up to very high temperature (about 80C) that you cannot control it(!) Then you must unplug the AC power cord ON BOTH ENDS (!) and carry the tray to the dining table. But it is very heavy! And hot!
3. Finally, you place it on the table and put plates with food on it. But if you try to it from it - you will inevitably touch the metal surface and burn your hand! If you don't eat from it - why do you need it? May be to keep food warm waiting for a guests? That was not my intention.
4. Any small child touching it on the table (they cannot see it from their level) will burn the hand.
5. Unit consumes 1000W and smells while heating.
6. "Green" light was not green and almost invisible from the normal standing position.
7. Unit has CSA safety sign. But it has temperature 80C that is much higher than the standard safety temperature of 60C allowed for "open to touch" metal surfaces. I don't understand how it was safety approved...
Summary:
This product has very poor usability and is potentially unsafe, especially for not very strong people and small children around dining table. I do NOT recommend it.
