I HAVE OWNED THE ORIGINAL PRO II MODEL SINCE 1985 AND IT IS STILL WORKING GREAT. THE MACHINE HAS WORKED PERFECT ALL THOSE YEARS. I WOULD RECOMEND THIS PRODUCT TO ANYBODY THAT WANTS TO SAVE ALOT OF MONEY. I USE IT EVERYDAY AND WOULD BE LOST WITHOUT IT. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK. PS I JUST ORDERED ANOTHER PRO II TO USE IN MY KITCHEN AND GOING TO USE THE ORIGINAL IN MY DOWNSTAIRS KITCHEN

This vacuum sealer works wonders, and I would rate it a 5 based on it's performance. The one problem is that you cannot use your own bags, so you have to keep re-ordering your vacuum sealer bags from Tilia. These bags are quite expensive, (and are patented by Tilia Foodsaver), and this vacuum sealer only works with them due to diamond shaped plastic featured on one side.

This is the second one I've purchased (my daughter loved it so much I gave her the first). I use it after coming home from Costco or Sam's. I vacumn seal EVERYTHING (meats, fish, nuts, candy, cheese). Thanksgiving turkey tasted just as good 6 months later! I vacumn seal my gold coins for safe keeping. I use it almost everyday!...
