Okay you may not believe this but this machine has paid for itself in less than three months in our household. Using this hot water dispenser gives me almost the convenience of kcups without the major cost. This is how this hot water dispenser has saved me big money. I bought this along with a Melitta 64008 coffee cone. With the coffee cone and a coffee filter (picked up in bulk at wholesale store .02 cents per filter) I now make a cup of great coffee for under ten cents. Of course this cost is going to vary by the type of coffee you consume. I'm a "whatever is on sale" type of guy. So for $8.00 for a large container of coffee you can easily make 150 to 200 cups of coffee. Two hundred kcups will cost you no less than $120. So as you can plainly see the dispenser is paid for quickly. And please don t forget you still have the convenience of hot water available for brewing all the time. The clean up is toss the coffee filter in the trash. Total time to brew a cup this way versus kcup is maybe 30 seconds longer, maybe. Bottom line is you still have most of the convenience of having coffee any time you would like, minimal clean up, and you will not believe how much money you will save. 50 kcups at $30.00 is 60 cents per cup this method is less than 10 cents. 200 cups and the tiger is paid for. Believe me no one was more sold on the kcup coffee but I have to say i still get fresh brewed and it taste so good knowing you saved the money. The savings puts a tank of gas in my car every month. Oh yeah forgot, instant tea and ramen noodles anytime you want. YOOHOO!!!!!!!!
