Customer Review: Finally saw it in person, and decided not to buy it
Summary: 3 Stars
This is really pretty, but it seems kind of lightweight and delicate. It doesn't seem as hefty as the old Stanley steel thermoses I'm used to. When I looked inside, I noticed there is a seam that needs to be kept clean. There's a seam in my husband's Trudeau travel coffee mug, as well, but I don't worry about that accumulating crud because only liquid goes in it. If I were using this for thick soups, stews and chili I'd worry about being able to keep it clean. It does say top rack dishwasher safe, but I'm not sure I'd risk it. Finally, the opening at the top isn't all that wide, and it looked awkward to eat out of. By the way, it's made in China.
What looked better to me in the store was Aladdin 12-Ounce Micro Lunch Bowl Denim Blue, simply because it looked easier to eat from. I didn't know about the bad reviews here until I got home and checked. I'm still going to give it a try; only time will tell if I've made the wrong choice.
