Customer Review: A Thermos that does what it's supposed to do

We own two of these, well sorta. The other one is the big brother to this one. Why two? Let me explain. I like my coffee HOT, not warm, and I shudder at "cold coffee". Our first, for home use was the Thermos Nissan Ncd1800P4 61-Oz Stainless Steel Bottle With Folding Handle - Home & Health Accessories - it holds a full perking from our home "large" percolator. The "smaller brother" reviewed here, is the same quality with a bit more than half the capacity. This "little one" is for use in our RV - which has a smaller coffee pot. Both REALLY HOLD THE HEAT. You have to do your part - preheat with very hot (we use water boiled in the electric kettle) - with the stopper and cap on - while the coffee is perking. That's the secret - a relatively long "preheat" with VERY hot water. Result? AT LEAST 24 hours of HOT coffee. Both the big and the small ones have the easy to handle "fold out" handle, and the "twist and pour" stopper. To clean just fill with hot water and drop in a denture cleaning "polident" tablet and let sit overnight - Nothing cleans coffee stains better. CAUTION: Bleach is the enemy of the rubber seal on the stopper! These two are the best of the best!
