Customer Review: Best Home Coffee Maker - Prefer over French Press

I have used this thermos for 15 years and it is very well built. Use a coffee filter cone and Melitta filter and you will have the set up used at Seattle's Best home office. When Seattle's Best does coffee tastings at their corporate Starbucks office this is how they brew the coffee (and they have access to every known kind of coffee machine.) The reason, you can get the water hot (just off a boil) - some coffee makers do not get the water hot enough.
I like this arrangement because it saves space (nothing on the counter) and is not a single purpose machine (thermos can be used for other purposes). It also keeps the coffee for several hours.
All of this is very compact and will last a long time (15 years so far). Clean up is easy and while I enjoy coffee from a French press, this is so much easier to make and clean that I prefer this method. I have also broken a few French presses after continued use (they are made of glass).
