I have had this bottle for several months now and love it. So far I have only used it for cold drinks. The ice lasts a long time, and the beverage stays cold, even when left in a car on a 90+degree day. I have also left it in a car with below zero temperatures and nothing has frozen. I have only one small complaint about the bottle, and that is the paint job. I have had the bottle for less than one year and the darker gray paint has chipped off in several places. This doesn't effect the efficiency of the bottle, it only make is aesthetically less appealing. If it weren't for the chipping paint issue on the outside of the bottle I would have rated this five stars. I use this bottle all the time. Except for the paint chipping, I love the bottle and how much it holds. Keep in mind, however, if you are thinking of using this in the car, there are two issues. One, the cap has to be unscrewed, which is a problem when driving. Two, the base will fit into a cup holder but because of the height, it often will tip over and come out of the cup holder when making a turn. For ease of use in a car, I use the Thermos e5 which can be operated with one hand, though it also will not fit into a cup holder, at least not in my car.
