Customer Review: VERY useful, but the plastic lid is not sturdy

I've had this for five years; the shaker is my FAVORITE way to store and use cinnamon. However, without it having dropped or been washed in the dishwasher (we wash by hand)-- over time, the plastic lid has developed some ugly cracks and crazing. The shaker itself and mesh insert are just fine.
As a flour, sugar or cinnamon shaker, it's terrific BECAUSE of the cap, but I wish mine had not cracked. We use it nonetheless as it's really useful.
