This is a really funny gag gift - bought it for a white elephant christmas exchange and it was the hit of the party amongst both liberals and conservatives. That said, it can also get pretty nasty if you have some real jerks around (or drunk people or reviewers) who take these things way too seriously or use it a force their political opinions on others.
Not sure it really works that great, but that's not really why you buy something like this. It does work and has decent quality.

We saw this product on "The Graham Norton Show", a British TV program on BBC. He was giving it away to guests. What fascinated me the most, is how great the international interest in our presidential race is. This product is just FUN. It doesn't matter what your affliation is. The Hillary Nutcracker is a fun item at least from the point of someone whom enjoys political humor. There are many interesting thoughts which may race through your mind when you finally get the "The Hillary Nutcracker", but not as many as those who you may give it to or who ever your company may be. If this looked like a black performer or black sports star, people would find it offensive. But because it's a WOMAN, people think it's funny. Sexism whould be no more acceptable than racism. Hillary Clinton is a serious woman who is running for president. Amazon should be ashamed for selling this! This is a question of common decency. This purchase was not intended to show support for any 2008 candidate, rather as a gag gift for a stanch Hill-Bill supporter. It was well received, got a lot of laughs, and is actually well-made. Communication from the seller was lacking especially since this item was delayed in shipping (assume it must have been out of stock when I placed my order) but it did arrive in time for Christmas.
