I would give this no stars if that was possible. The product is difficult to set up because its' sensitivity is inconsistent. We finally got it working all right to turn a lamp on and off but shortly thereafter it stopped working because the sensitivity kept getting activated with no apparent sound in the room. It seemed that the product was defective but by the time we found the documentation to return the product the extremely short warranty period of 30 days (!) had passed. I guess they really don't expect the product to work very well or consistently if that's their warranty period. Also they insist that the product be "insured" when it is returned. I have not found any satisfied buyers of the Clapper. It's basically another disposable gift item that because it is relatively cheap nobody bothers to complain about. Buyer beware. Should be called the Crapper.
Description of The Clapper
A sound activated switch that can activate two different appliances by clapping two or three times, providing convienence and security. Featuring "clap activation lights" to aid proper clapping and a "sensitivity dial" to increase or decrease Clapper sensitivity. "Away" mode can be used to deter unwanted visitors as a limited security device.Small Appliances
