I recently adopted an 11 month old Siamese mix from the shelter named Finnegan. He's a sweet little kitty and fairly tolerant of me messing with him, however, like most kittens, he is a whirlwind of activity rivaling the Tasmanian devil in his enthusiasm. My other two cats (7 & 10 years old) are declawed, when I had it done I didn't realize how cruel it was nor were there any alternatives to stop their destructive clawing (yes I have tons of scratching posts/trees). I didn't want to put the new cat through the pain of declawing, but while he's been pretty good about not clawing my furniture, he's been taking huge clumps of fur out of the other cats when wrestling. So, I decided to buy soft paws nail caps; I've been able to clip his nails a couple at a time without too much struggling, but I knew there was no way I'd be able to glue the nail caps on by myself without some kind of restraint. After a great deal of searching, I came across the cat sack which had really good reviews and wasn't too expensive. It arrived yesterday, and this morning I pulled it out and zipped him up. It took me a few times to get the collar part on, mostly because Finn kept sticking a paw under his chin and in the way. He struggled a little at first, but after scratching under his chin he stopped fighting and started purring. I was able to trim his nails and put all the nail caps on in about 15 minutes including a few breaks for treats. He did really well except when I was trimming his back claws, but thanks to this wonderful product, neither of us were hurt and he quickly calmed down. Once I unzipped the cat sack to let him go, he calmly stood up, got out, and then flopped in my lap purring and chirping at me for more attention much to my delight. Following the advice of several reviewers I went ahead and got the large version, Finnegan weighs about 8.5 lbs and there is enough room left for him to grow, but not enough to roll around too much. Bottom line, this is a fabulous product and I highly recommend it!

This nylon sack features a quick-close collar, two-way main zipper for front or rear access, an additional underside zipper for easier rear leg access, and zippered front paw openings. Also featuring a quick close zipper flap and pull-tab provide for quick, fur-free application. Available in two sizes; Medium is for 5-10 lbs. and Large is for 10-15 lbs.
