the bottle is a lot smaller than i expected.
i dont know why but i thought the product was double walled but it isnt.
that are just things to think about.
the reason i only have it 4 stars was because the product is very touching and drips easily.
if any of the 2 sections have any liquid on the threads it will drip. also when you shake the bottle (when its in your bag) liquid gets caught in between the lid and the filter (this doesn't matter if its hot or cold water). this happens because of the vacuum created by the liquid against the filter and the top of the cap. there are 2 ways to relieve the pressure and make the tea fall back into the container.
you can carefully unscrew the top and bottom section and the liquid will fall into the container.
something i just figure out tonight if you hold the top of the mug and flick it with your wrist the centrifugal force pushes the liquid back down into the container. you have to do this every time the mug goes on its side or upside down.
if you dont do anything you will spill when you unscrew the lid and after you spill you have to wipe the threads or else it will drip.
this is a little thing and i wouldnt even know how they would change the design. maybe put the threads on the inside of the top cap like the joemo mug.
now the good things
the metal screen mesh is awesome. nice and fine so nothing really slips through and there is alot of area and it doesn't get clogged. if it starts to slow when drinking you just have to rotate it to the side.
i drink yerba mate through this and i fill the mug 1/3 of the way with the mate and nothing gets past the filter.

also with any mug open the top slowly when using hot water there is quite the pressure built up.
the O rings on the mug is very sturdy and heavy duty it doesn't feel cheap.the O ring is also recessed into the cap so it wont fall out. the nubby rubber they use for the O ring doesn't seem to discolor or absorb smells tastes anything.
the second O ring on the mesh filter is also recessed with a lip and never comes in contact with the tea.
just the container and the mesh metal filter touches the tea. there are a lot of mugs that have plastic filters which are very unappealing.
the only down fall is that the O rings are not removable. liquid does not get behind the O ring though btw. you could possibly remove the O ring but im for sure you will damage it.
