This is a nice little tea warmer. I keep the tea candle wicks trimmed to 1/4 inch, and I have no problems with soot or smoke. (This works on all candles.)
It keeps my tea quite warm, although if it is very chilly or there is an a/c vent blowing in the area, my tea isn't piping hot. But that's nothing bad about the tea warmer, it's about drafts.
I like it. If I had to do it over, I'd buy it again.

I bought my tea warmer many years ago and have enjoyed using it during the winter months. I also use it as a warmer under a pot of fondue. It looks beautiful and everyone enjoys the specialness of it. I often leave it out as a reminder to have a pot of tea with friends. I have bought several for gifts. I love the delicate look. this came in a very lightweight cardboard box with thin bubble wrap around the glass. this thin box was inside a larger cardboard box with 3 air pillows on one side. the ENTIRE smaller box should have been wrapped with the large bubble wrap. the side of the glass was broken in ;o(Customer Review: You get what you pay for!

This tea warmer is made with very thin glass and a cheap-looking metal top which corrodes easily. If I had it to do over, I would buy something nicer and more sturdy which would last longer.
