This item was rated the highest by America's Test Kitchen. It works like a dream. Just put the probe in the right place and clip on the pager and ta-da, it beeps when the meat reaches the temperature you set. No more guess work or constantly pulling the meat out to check the temperature. Just sit back and relax. It also will give a different beep if you get out of the 300 foot range. It's a little confusing to set up but once you get the hang of it, it's great. You literally walk away, take the remote with you to another part of the house and still know what's happening to your roast. Alarms are nice and loud. The construction is a little delicate. It also can be used as a timer which comes in handy if you have 2 things going at once. All in all, very satisfied.Customer Review: Great Product

The Taylor wireless thermometer is a five star product. I have used it to cook a roast on the BBQ and to monitor my smoker temprature when smoking salmon. I purchased the thermometer based on a top rating in "Cooks Illustrated" mag and would highly recomend it to others. The remote is way cool for a gadget junkie like me.Customer Review: Do not use in a barbeque!

Bought this also based on the Cook's Review. It is fine for the oven as long as you don't have an oven temp over 375. Tried to use it in the BBQ and the probe burned out in 5-10 minutes. The literature states not to use over 400 degrees. What they don't tell you is that the probes burn out easily especially in a bbq.Customer Review: Easy Cooking

I first seen the Taylor Wireless Thermometer on a cooking show thought it would be a useful accessery. I have since purchased two one for my son and the other for me. We both have had very good results and would highly recommend this product. The remote comes in handy the alarm is easy to hear and accurate.
