Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Taylor Digital Minute/Second TimerCustomer Review: fell apart immediately, quit working entirely after 6 weeks Summary: 1 Stars
I bought this to use as a timer in a 12-step meeting where we like people to limit their sharing to 5 minutes. Several different people operated this timer, which was not up to the challenge. The battery "door" broke the first night we used it. Tonight after about six weeks the timer wouldn't operate at all. We tried a new battery. No luck. This timer is just too cheap.
Customer Review: You get what you pay for Summary: 1 Stars
This timer volume is so low, I had to clip it to my jacket collar to hear it during my workout. The clip broke in only two months. The start/stop button sticks; but the minute/second buttons are so sensitive a mere bump changes your time, and there is no clear - you have to count up through the 60 seconds or 99 minutes to reset. I'm buying a different product this time.
Customer Review: Timers for reading class Summary: 5 Stars
The timers work fine (it's been 3 months). I bought 8 for my reading class for timed readings. The beep is not too loud, at least it doesn't seem to distract the students. I like how it counts up and down, which most timers don't have. It's also great that it counts up to 99 minutes. The Pyrex timers only count up to 20 minutes. Definitely would recommend it.
Customer Review: Simple. It times things. Summary: 5 Stars
This timer counts up and it counts down. It has a magnetic back. It's sturdy. If it only times to 10 minutes, it would have met my needs. If you want a timer that does more, get the Polder 362-90. If you want to time three minutes per side of a teak on a BBQ, this is the one for you and the price is right, too though I wasn't terribly happy about the shipping.
Customer Review: Timer Summary: 3 Stars
This is a good timer. I was looking for a louder ring, and this wasn't nearly loud enough for me, but might be OK for people who hear well. For a louder ring and easier use ( 10 big buttons to program the time period, instead of repeatedly punching the seconds & minutes buttons)I prefer the Taylor 10-key Style Timer, also sold here. Fast delivery.
