Already had one of these for several years. For some reason, the wireless reading no longer worked. We bought another one as we've been very happy with it. The new remote sensor is greatly improved as it now has two batteries instead of one and includes a channel selector, metric/Fahrenheit button, and transmit button. The old sensor had none of these. I would use the chord that came with the remote to place the sensor outside, thereby keeping the remote inside (along with the batteries). I think the batteries and sensor will last much longer that way. I've run mine through a window/screen for years and it works well this way. The chord is thin enough to still allow a tight seal on your window.
If I had a complaint, it would be that it's made in China. That, and the remote sensor requires a very small screwdriver to get at the battery compartment. For a time/temp clock with outdoor/indoor temp and indoor humidity, highly recommended.
