Customer Review: Serves Its Purpose

This pan's not going to change your life, but if you've ever tried cooking a single egg in a normal size skillet, you know that what you wind up with is less fried-egg shaped and more fried-amoeba shaped. This little pan keeps the egg corralled and produces a nice little cooked egg that is round and uniform..perfect for egg sandwiches or homemade 'McMuffins'. My favorite breakfast is actually a cup of cooked brown rice with a perfectly tender egg served on top 'sunny side up'. This little skillet helps me to achieve that. Still I can only award 4 stars because of the lack of an available glass lid for this. I like to finish my egg in the skillet by turning the heat off and covering it, and the only way I can accomplish this is to cover the pan with one of my saucers. It works fine, but a matching lid would round out the package for me and definitely warrant a perfect rating. As for the people who say the nonstick 'stops working', I'd bet they aren't properly caring for their pan. Proper care for any nonstick pan includes NEVER SPRAYING THEM WITH PAM. Use a teaspoon of Canola or Olive Oil or some other heart-healthy oil and wash after each use with Dawn and you'll be much happier in the long run. I've had this pan over a year and it's still just as non-stick as they day I bought it.. (Note: Amazons price is a bit steep. Paid less than $5 at Kohl's)
