Customer Review: i love my t-fal toaster!

prior to this one, i had an oster - what i'd especially liked about it, was that it had settings for adjusting to bread width and an "early pop-up" button (which i really liked!)...but the damn thing caught on fire after less than a year - and since it was made of plastic, it melted! it was still under warrenty, but it would've cost as much to send it in (to be exchanged for a refurbished one) as it would, to just buy a new one...and i likes me my toast, so i wanted to replace it asap but couldn't find a suitable substitute - one that had the "extra" features, that i'd grown to love! eventually, i found this t-fal toaster at a garage sale for $10 - and not only did it have all of the featrues that i was looking for, but it also is metal on top (so i won't be having another "meltdown" again!)...i also loved the retro-look of it, but inspite of everthing - what i've really grown to love about it, is the fact that it's slanted (making it really easy, for me to be able to "peek-in" and see how my toast is doing!)...i've had it now, for about 5 years and it's been the best toaster that i've ever had! i wouldn't hesitate to replace it, with another one...it doesn't toast evenly - but it's not all that dramatic of a difference, and hasn't bothered me in the least...it works well, it's sturdy and compact, and it's been a reliable companion - if perfectly even toast is what you're after - then you'll need to spend at least twice as much as this one costs...so for the money, i think it's a great toaster - and far better, than any others in it's price range
