I bought this kettle to replace a smaller T-Fal one that belonged to my roommate who moved out. It looks nice and it boils water fast--faster than the stove or microwave. I like that it has such a large capacity, too. Also, the fact that it shuts itself off will save your kitchen cabinets from being damaged due to over exposure to steam.Customer Review: terrific kettle!

I recently bought the T-Fal kettle for use at home; I also have the Hamilton Beach model at work. They are both very reliable, but I especially like the T-Fal because its hinged lid is easier to use, and its design makes it an attractive addition to the kitchen counter. It's very fast, just as the name implies, and the tea tastes great!Customer Review: Works as Advertised

This kettle heats water fast and has a convenient base unit. The click it makes when done is enough to alert me in the next room that my tea water is ready. I am something of a noise-hater and I wonder if a kettle with a larger base area would heat water more quietly than this unit. But I am satisfied with this purchase.

I purchased my first T-Fal Vitesse kettle over a year ago, and it is still going strong, no problems. I love it so much I bought two more, one for the office and one for the breakroom. As many have written previously, the buttons are grey, not yellow, but if you can get past the design change, this is a kettle to love.Customer Review: works fine, but fragile

I have been using this kettle for about four months. Boils fast. Reasonably quiet. Nothing much to complain about except that the cover is a lousy piece of design. It gets in the way every time I fill it with tap water. Then it just falls off and broke today! If not for the cover I'd give it a five star, perhaps.
