I've had this tea pot since I bought from Amazon over a year ago. What I like is that it automatically shut-off when water is fully boiled. My husband is hearing inpaired and whistling tea kettle are a risk for fires. The auto shut-off is a real help. I've look at another kettle sold in a local store and i didn't like the huge coil inside the kettle where it was expose to the water to be heated up. It might be hard to clean. Another thing i like is very easy to keep clean from sediment build-up in the kettle. No huge coil in the way to clean. This kettle is very nice for traveling if you want to take it with you. We use this kettle a lot, my husband is a tea drinker, i love the hot water for hot chocolate. No regrets in this kettle.Customer Review: Tea with a twist

Oh my, I have wanted one of these for ages. Europeans have been using them for decades, but couldn't seem to find a modern, user-friendly electric kettle. This is the best; it boils as quickly as the ad suggests. Jug plugs into the base, so you can remove it from base once water is boiled. It switches off automatically (a big plus for those of us who forget that water is boiling on the stove ... mea culpa), and voila, your hot, hot water is ready for your favorite tea. I've started to drink more tea since I purchased it 6 weeks ago. This isn't another kitchen gadget, it is an absolute necessity for the kitchen; it is a life-changing purchase. Yes, okay, I like it. The product is designed to be used out of the box with virtually no instructions needed. Simply fill the pitcher with water, place the pitcher on the base, plug it in, and push the on button. Within in minutes the water is boiled, and the pitcher will shut itself off.
Cleaning the product is just as easy. Once cooled, use a soapy sponge. If scaling occurs, fill the pitcher with white vinegar (do not heat) and soak for an hour.
I really appreciate that the water produced by the kettle is not bubbling hot so I can drink my coffee or tea immediately. I think temperatures reached through traditional stovetop tea kettles are often too high which can burn the tongue.

I decided on the 7-Cup Vitesse High Speed Kettle when I read that it could boil a cup of water in a minute; faster than the microwave. It is true - Hot water for coffee and tea in a minute or less! You should note that it draws a lot of power to do this, so I cannot run it at the same time as the microwave or I can blow a fuse. It looks nice and does not take up too much space. It does not have a whistle, but on the plus-side it turns itself off when the water has boiled. I have burned up a whistling kettle when I went outside and forgot about it. The whistle does not help if you cannot hear it. I have not had it long so do not know how durable it is.Customer Review: Still like new after 2 years!

I've had this kettle 2 years now and use it daily. It looks and functions like it did the day I bought it. It brings the water to a full boil and shuts off automatically. I think the steam triggers the shut off.
It's so fast, I no longer use my microwave when I make tea or hot chocolate. Sometimes I even boil eggs in it.
I love the fact that the cord is attached to the base and not the kettle. It makes it easy to fill. Once in a while I clean the inside with vinegar, because the water is hard here.
I drink a lot more tea now because this is so fast and easy to use. I'd buy this product again in a heartbeat.
