Customer Review: Don't expect a miracle

Okay, the deal with this broom is- it works. It's actually pretty adept at getting all of the hairs out of my rugs. What it doesn't do though is get smaller pieces of lint, etc out without multiple pulls through the carpet- so don't throw your vacuum out once it arrives. Since it's a push style broom, it's also not very dust-pan friendly. You will still need to pick up all of the debris it combs out, or pull it all into one pile and just vacuum up that pile. In addition to that, pulling it through requires a decent amount of effort- think mild upper body workout. Same thing goes for the scrubber/squeegee functions- it did a great job of getting the floor clean, but once I squeegeed, I was left with an organized puddle of very dirty water that I ended up soaking up with loads of towels which then had to be wrung out into the sink and washed. As mentioned in a previous review, it will 'jump' while you are pulling it on carpeting- which I found mildly to moderately irritating depending on the mood I was already in.
I like my broom a lot, but when I bought it, I didn't think I'd have those problems to contend with. It's still great if you don't mind the afforementioned issues, but if you don't have a good amount of time, secondary cleaning tools, and back/arm/ab strength, stick with a good vacuum and mop system.
