My husband put this on his account, but it was used by me (his wife). Just in case you are wondering. This stone seemed too abrasive for my cashmere sweater. It was nicely packaged and nice in every way other than that my sweater looked worse after I used it. Use with care. (I did use with care, but I wanted to see if I could get rid of the pills, and this did not help.) Wish I didn't have to be negative. It might work better on something other than cashmere.Customer Review: Works great!

I had a pile of sweaters that I tried using scissors and disposable razors to cut off the fuzz. I was ready to throw away some of my favorite sweaters, but now I don't have to. The sweater stone works great! True, you have a bit of a mess when you're finished. There is black grit and sweater fuzz everywhere, but just do it in the kitchen and clean-up is as easy as wiping off the table and using a broom on the floor. The first thing I noticed about this stone was that it had an unpleasant smell when I took it out of the packaging. So far, the smell has not gone away. The stone works on removing pills, but you have to go over and over the same territory to get rid of them all. Unfortunately, I don't have any mildly pilled sweaters because either I wear them a lot or not at all. It's a project, but the sweater does come out looking a lot better.Customer Review: abolutely horrible!

The little pieces of volcanic stone flake and fall all over the place. It pulls on the sweater and doesn't do what it claims to do....I tried once, put it back in the envelope and I'm still finding small pieces of stone (the size of sugar crystals). total disappointment because I bought some very expensive cashmere sweaters that have begun to pill and I was hoping that this would do the trick. I'm very pleased with the sweater stone. I use it to remove pilling on my sweaters and wool pants. If you rub lightly (which gets the job done), you shouldn't have to worry about tearing the fabric. It does make a mess, but I just use a small vacuum to clean up afterwards. I definitely recommend this to anyone who doesn't want to worry about the harsher, more expensive battery-operated fabric shavers.
