Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Susan Bates Crystalites Crochet Hook Case W/9 HooksCustomer Review: Not Too Bad Summary: 3 Stars
These are great hooks. I find that they work really well with acrylic yarns. However, you cannot hold them too tightly or they snap in half. I crochet fairly loosely so they dont' break as often. But I do have to get replacements every now and then. So, if you're working on a "must get done" project and you want to use these hooks, you might want to have a backup just in case. For the smaller hooks, I recommend the aluminum ones.
Customer Review: Super breakable hooks Summary: 2 Stars
I have this same set that I have bought at a Michael's store, and so far 2 of the 8 have broken and I've only made about 6 projects. They both broke at the flat part where you brace your thumb. The only way I could possibly think of fixing them would be with gorilla glue, but that might not even work. Spend extra money for metal ones, because these won't last very long at all.
Customer Review: Crochet Hook Set in Case Summary: 5 Stars
This Crochet Hook Set in clear plastic case is GREAT for young teen learning to crochet. Different sizes for all projects and colorful for fun. Easy to see what sizes you have and easy to carry around and to store without loosing them in the clear case. Thank You. Great gift for girls.
Customer Review: Love these hooks Summary: 5 Stars
I love these hooks. I used to crochet with aluminum hooks because I liked the feel and smooth way they stitched but these hooks are much better. They have a nice comfortable feel and the yarn slides nicely off as you crochet.
Customer Review: for a serious crochet artist these are not the tools you want Summary: 2 Stars
The smaller hooks broke after a few projects. I still have the larger hooks. I like the case though.
