Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Sundesa BB28-MC01 BlenderBottle 28-Ounce with BlenderBall, BlueCustomer Review: Gotta love the spring ball Summary: 5 Stars
Blender bottles are the best mixer bottles out there. I have tried cheaper alternatives that use different methods for blending, but the spring-ball is the only one that works. I have bought 4 of these for myself, and one for my wife. (Unfortunately I broke 2 of them after dropping them on their caps while shaking them like a maniac.)
They are easy to clean by hand, and they're dishwasher safe for when you're feeling lazy. Just a tip: never leave protein shake remnants in a closed bottle for more than an hour or two. It will smell enough to make you sick when you open it.
The only complaint I have about these bottles is that I didn't buy them at Amazon. Instead I paid $9 at The Vitamin Shoppe.
Customer Review: Fantastic, fast, no-lump shake mixer! Summary: 4 Stars
I use this mixer to blend up powered Breakfast Essentials and milk to drink in the morning. The mixers I have used in the past have still left lumps in shakes like this or have been difficult to clean all the way. This BlenderBottle washes clean with no hassle in the dishwasher, blends up my drink in 10 seconds or less with no lumps, is conveniently marked with volumes on the side, and so far does not leak at all. An excellent product I would readily recommend to friends.
Update:
I have noticed that the top doesn't always seal completely -- it seems to do pretty well when closed tight and immediately shaken, but I would hesitate to mix something in this and toss it in my bag to go
Customer Review: Do you hate clumpy protein? Summary: 5 Stars
I used to dread the post-workout whey shake because of spoons, clumps, and my untrained gag reflex. No longer. This puppy blends powder into liquid like no other. Way easier to clean than a Magic Bullet, and far quieter, I see no need for other blending items after buying this.
One caveat, that isn't much of a caveat: make sure the spout is closed before shaking! It loudly clicks when sealed, which I have sometimes overlooked, and end up with milk on my shirt. This is not a design flaw, just stupidity on my own part -- but make sure it's closed before you pop it into your workout bag.
Do you want to keep biting into clumps of unmixed powder? Didn't think so. Buy this thing.
Customer Review: Best Protein Shake Maker Around Summary: 5 Stars
Like the prior reviewer, I have tried in frustration to use the cheap, freebie mixers from supplement orders. All suffered from two problems; leaks (protein shake on your gym shirts/shorts - Arrgh.) and poor mixing of whey protein and other powders.
This shaker bottle has a tight fitting screw on lid, and a securely closing pop-open top that have never leaked, not once.
I thought that the stainless steel "blender ball" seemed like a gimmick but it WORKS GREAT, mixing even hard-to-mix supps like BCAAs well. Whey powder, Gatorade powder and such are a breeze. Just make sure you have an ounce or two of liquid on the bottom before adding powder and you're set.
Customer Review: Wow is all i can say... Summary: 5 Stars
My generic Rubbermaid shaker bottle from Walm*** recently cracked from a 4 ft fall and i needed a replacement. I could have gone back to the store and bought another for <$3..but i decided to try this BlenderBall out. When i clicked buy, i simply thought "eh, if the metal ball sucks...whatever, i got a new bottle anyway". Now when i got it in the mail i assumed it had to be a gimmick. I tried it out and was simply amazed. I was expecting the usual clumps about half a centimeter wide that never want to dissolve but i did not chew one bit. Not only that, it blended in less shakes.
