Customer Review: Great accessory, a must have for active individuals.

The blender bottle goes great when mixing powdered products with liquids. The mesh ball acts as an agitator when shaken. The result is better mixed drinks and less clumps.
When an electric blender isn't available, this little guy fills in just fine.
The construction is very durable and strong. Areas that are susceptible to cracks such as the bottom and lid are very tough and can survive a drop. The lid screws on very tightly with three revolutions until closure. The top pops on and off and holds securely. The lid opening is narrowly circular sort of like a beer bottle and it's free of any sharp edges.
The Blender Bottle comes in two sizes but I recommend you get the largest (currently 28 ounces). The reason being, a larger bottle means more room for the liquids to mix well with the powder. Also the extra room allows the mesh ball to move more.
My only con with the Blender Bottle is the overall size. This bottle is 28 ounces but that's true only when filled to the rim of the bottle. I haven't yet needed to mix 28 ounces of powders and liquids so it's not too much a concern. But if you do, you should know this before hand. Filling the bottle to 28 ounces won't leave much room for the mesh ball to work its magic or for the powder and fluid to mix either.

I guess I'm one of those with a dissenting opinion on this bottle. I just don't like it or find it as easy to use, particularly for my protein of choice (Syntrax Nectar) as the bottles with a mesh of some kind in the top. With my other bottle, 10-15 seconds of shaking does the job, with this one, I have to shake and shake and shake to get the same results (other reviews as well mention having to shake the heck out of it, I personally prefer a bottle that does the job quickly versus having to spend considerable time mixing). The other main issue I have is the cap is so TIGHT, I find it very difficult to open once done mixing. I suppose if you are a body builder, it's probably not an issue, but for a normal person like me that has to take protein for medical reasons, I want a bottle that opens easily and this one sure doesn't. In fact, I've never used any sports bottle or similar device as hard to open as this one is. Certainly it helps ensure that it stays closed while mixing, but I have plenty of other bottles that stay closed when needed but are far easier to open than this one. I hoped with use it would get easier, but several months later I still have the same issue, so this bottle sits on the shelf unused now.Customer Review: About as good as it gets

If there are "vastly better products" out there I certainly haven't found them. I do agree that the ball seems to have limited affect in some cases - usually when the shake is thick and/or the liquid used to mix the shake is very cold. In those cases, the traditional "wagon wheel" style is probably better, but none of about half a dozen types I've tried have been designed as well as the blender bottle. The cap is easy to secure and creates a very tight seal, the drinking spout is a good size to drink from and forms a tight seal as well. It is also very well constructed - very thick walls, no sharp seams, and nice gripping surfaces on either side.
My suggestion to people having mixing difficulties is to start with powder and the whisk ball, add your liquid, seal everything up, and turn the shaker upside down to shake at first. This minimizes clumping in the corner or the spout. Ample room-temperature liquid also seems to help a lot - if you're expecting to make an ice-cold, milkshake-thick drink in this thing you will probably be disappointed.
All in all, this is the best shaker I have ever used. Highly recommended.

I bought the 28 ounce version (GNC branded one) and after having used it for a week, Love it. I've been mainly using it for mixing protein powder and thus far have used milk, water, peanut butter and some fruit with no problems and no clumps.
So the pros:
-It fits in my hand well. It's easy grip design has never left me worrying about dropping it or losing my grip on it.
-It cleans very easily.
-The screw top is tight enough that I can shake vigorously and not have it pop off.
-The flip top snaps down firmly as well. Never had any leaks.
-The wonderball mixes as good as if I used a blender. It compresses down flat which makes cleaning it a breeze
-Ounce and millimeter markings
I haven't had any cons yet and doubt I will. I just wish I bought more than one at the time. The one thing that should be mentioned is not to overload the bottle. If you load it to the top or close to the top, it won't mix as well. So, if you are using a lot of ingredients at once to mix, make sure there's enough room for it to get mixed. I'll definately be ordering more of these to have on hand.

I ordered this not sure if it would work for CASEIN whey protein, which is a lot harder to dissolve into water than normal whey protein...previously I had been using a blender to do so, and it was kind of a pain to wash and dry every time so I was making a big batch and pouring into single serving small glass bottles. Plus the protein tastes a little funny if it's been sitting around for a few days in the fridge.
Having this BlenderBottle has eliminated the need for that entirely. Yes, it works wonderfully on casein protein! Three tips:
1. Keep a finger on the white plastic flap at the top while shaking the bottle since it will quickly open and make a mess otherwise.
2. Pour the desired amount of liquid into the bottle first, THEN add the powder...if you do it in the reverse order, much more likely to have some clumps sticking to the bottom around the edges.
3. Was immediately after use for maximum ease of cleaning...I recommend using a bottle brush for best results.
Oh, and I'm very glad that it is made of BPA-free plastic, nice!
