Customer Review: Great for salad on the go

This is a great product to have if you love salads to go and want to control what you are putting in them. The bowl itself is large and holds a good amount of lettuce/salad, definitely entree salad rather than side salad. The container for the dressing/dip is a screw-top and does not leak. The three-sectioned piece goes in the freezer and does a remarkable job of keeping all of the food cold without condensation wilting the lettuce. I have used it without a cooler and the food was still cool and acceptable temperature after seven hours.
The few issues that I have are that I wish there were two containers for dressing/dip for veggies rather than one, and the box says that "for best results wash by hand". Had that been on the product description I probably would not have bought it. I have found it to be acceptable to wash everything but the three-sectioned freezer piece in the dishwasher on the top rack, but am worried about the durability over time. The lid to the bowl snaps and secures by two pieces that perhaps over time will lose their snugness. I would have preferred a screw-top lid to the bowl. Also, according to directions you are not supposed to put the freezer piece in the refrigerator after it has been frozen. This can be an issue in the hectic mornings when the extra time to put the veggies on the three-section piece is not available (my suggestion is to invest in snack bags that you can throw in quickly).
Overall I do recommend this product. I have seen similar products for more than double the price and the same issues.
