OK, this is a great little peeler. It does a great job, yes, you have to do a little touching up of your own, but not much. It does come with a corer/slicer and a separate corer only. It all works very well, is easy to clean and convenient to store. It came with extra blades, which made me happy. It is a great value in my opinion. However, two things to mention......it is made of sort of flimsy plastic and so is not going to hold up well for heavy use or for use with "not round" produce. So, be careful to buy very round apples and get them centered on the spikes before you start peeling or you will have to "help" the blade around the odd shaped parts of the fruit or risk damaging the plastic parts.Customer Review: Starfrit peeler does not do delicious apples very well

Just got the starfrit apple peeler.
It does a WONDERFUL job with round apples, but it left lots of peels on the red delicious apple, even after I had it peel the apple twice.
Still it did remove peels so finishing peeling the delicious apple was easier than peeling the whole thing by hand.
And it did as shown on videos: really peel all the other apples, quickly and easily.
I also tried it on older red delicious apples I had and it would not peel them at all. So I got new red delicious apples. It removed some but not all the peelings, seeming to skip because the apple was not completely round.
I still love it. Well worth the money.

this is my first experience with an apple peeler. I normally peel by hand, and saw the great reviews here. I like apples, but don't like peeling. i thought i'd be healthier eating more of them, but couldn't bring myself to peel. I never thought i'd buy one of these, because i don't normally bake a lot of apple dishes (mostly because i don't like peeling- did i mention that?) anyway, i'm shocked this worked at all... and, SO WELL. weird. in about 5 seconds flat, one long, thin peel, with little waste (much better than when I do it with a knife, for sure). It also came with a core-er device. my kids were excited, and i ended up peeling about 5 apples. then, i had to make a pie. great device.Customer Review: Peels super fast

As of today I've only used the Starfrit once to peel 10 Golden Delicious apples for a pie. Worked great, although my laminate counters have a slight texture to them so the suction cups didn't want to stay down. I put my left hand on the upright part near the handle while turning the handle with my right, and it stayed in place. Some peel at the very bottom of the apple needs to be removed by hand.
No, this product doesn't peel, slice, and core at the same time like the old fashioned peelers, but I prefer to cut the apples by hand so I control the size of the slices. Those old fashioned peelers cut extremely thin slices.
Came with two extra blades and a corer/slicer.

When I read the reviews for this product I was a little weary because it looks cheap. Then when I actually received the item- it looked even more cheap then it did in the pictures- I thought it was going to break if i touched it. But then I tried it and it worked PERFECTLY. I used an apple and it goes up one side around and down the other side of the apple- didnt miss a single piece of skin. It also came with replacement blades... I thought the hand crank would be a pain to deal with if your doing alot of apples (for a pie or something) but that's not the case- very easy product to use. Also it comes with the slicer but not the corer. NBD. Overall good product.
