I ordered these to be used with soups and chili as our regular spoons are a bit small for holding much soup, etc. These are definitely larger and hold a goodly amount. For me, I found them to be almost too big as my mouth is rather small. My husband didn't have as much of a problem and liked them quite well although he agreed that the spoons were even a bit larger than he anticipated.
They have held up well in the dishwasher and aren't too heavy.
If you are looking for some substantial soup spoons as far as the amount they can hold then I believe you will like the size of these.
