Customer Review: Great for sipping from my travel mug

I like to sip my coffee & tea through a straw that fits through the spout on the lid of my travel mug and wanted a long, reusable straw. This straw is perfect and extends a good two inches above the top of the lid. It washes up easily and I use a pipe cleaner once in awhile to clean the inside. I'm very happy with this straw.
There are two reasons I don't give it five stars but if you are aware of them then you'll love this straw!
1.The straw does not fit all lids as it is just a little larger than a plastic straw so this is something to consider when purchasing a travel mug.
2.The straw is a bit heavy and I broke a glass container (not sold by Amazon) by letting it drop down so one needs to be careful there.

I ordered these straws since all of my plastic reusable straws had disappeared or worn out. I thought that it would be better to get metal straws instead of plastic for durability. I use these straws for smoothies and while they are long enough for the cup I use, the diameter of the opening is the same as the standard plastic disposable straw and not very useful for smoothies. They work, but not very well. If you are using these instead of disposable straws, they are perfect, though they may be too long depending on how you use them. If you are looking for a larger diameter straw for smoothies, milkshakes, etc, I'd skip these and find something else.Customer Review: Great replacement for plastic water straws

These work great and are easy to clean when you use colored flavor packets in water.
They do get very cold or very hot depending on the contents.
