I got one of these sets for Christmas. Loved it, and immediately ordered a second set. Each set comes with two trays and a lid with a handle. However, you can snap on additional layers as needed. Each layer has a tray which holds 12 deviled eggs. The egg tray is removable, so you can use it to tote other food items. I use it more to take cupcakes to work than I do for eggs. Each layer will hold eight cupcakes, and the sections are deep enough to allow for frosting and decorations.
I also used the set to take macaroni and cheese to work. The trays can go in the microwave. I used it to microwave hot dogs for a children's event we had at work. I did a whole pack of hot dogs in each tray, and then snapped the lid on to keep them warm.
I love the size of the tray. I take the subway to work. Most other food carriers I've looked at are too large to carry around comforatbly. This fits comfortably into a tote bag. It's sturdy, easy to clean, and doesn't take up a lot of storage space.

I love this product.The tray makes transporting your deviled eggs so very easy.The eggs fit in their wells,so there's not so much slipping and sliding and that means no messy fixing up your eggs after transport. The handle makes it easy to carry and clean up is a snap.
Deviled eggs was one of the dishes I made for Thanksgiving.The container made it easy to pack with all the rest of the food items,the eggs arrived in great shape,the trays were taken out and instantly became servers and everyone raved about the carrier.
I also used the carrier to transport a dozen frosted cupcakes.The cupcakes arrived without a hitch and the carrier made a wonderful storage unit after,keeping the cupcakes fresh and moist.
Next summer we are invited to a pig roast,so I'll be ordering more of the carriers and see if there are more handy ways to use them

Ever try carrying deviled eggs to a party? You put them in a dish and they slide all over the place. You cover them with plastic wrap and it sticks. Well, this is the solution and it works like a charm! I bought two so I can make anywhere from 24 to 48 halves (or 36 if you just use 3 sections) and they are so easy to transport. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because I wish the handle snapped into place. That would make it absolutely perfect! But even with this minor detail, I would definitely recommend buying them for yourself or for a friend who always brings the deviled eggs to a party. They'll definitely appreciate it! If I could give this more than 5 stars I would. I bought this little item several months ago & I LOVE IT!!!!!!
It works just like it says it will. I use it for eggs & other things. I have never used it in the micro because I don't want to melt it. I don't know why one of the reviewers would use it that way. They will ruin it. If you want a sturdy little item that works great then this is the one for you. As one reviewer said, you can stack several of them together for added space. I paid a lot more for mine than what Amazon is selling it for even with the shipping charge. It's well worth the money they charge for this item.

This is by far the best devilled egg carrier I've ever used. Snaps together easily and firmly, takes minimal space in the cooler or frig, carrying handle is properly balanced and folds away smoothly, the eggs ride very solidly (no tipping) and it appears to be expandable - meaning additional layers can be added. It comes with 2 layers, each layer holds 12 devilled eggs (6 eggs, 12 half-eggs). And, best of all - it's extremely cheap! If you take eggs to picnics, this is the perfect carrier.
