Customer Review: Counterfeit Spode!

I ordered three teacups to replace some of mine that had broken over the years. When they arrived, they were not real Spode! Two of the cups I ordered were made in Malaysia; one was made in China. The cups had defects and were clearly different in the paint and in their shape. This is the second time I have ordered Spode from amazon.com and not gotten what I ordered - I'm never ordering Spode from here again. Amazon.com should also be careful lest Spode sue them for secondary infringement of trademark or copyright!

Spode's Christmas Tree Tea Cup 7 ounce and Saucer 5- 1/2 inch is a charming addition to the well dressed holiday table.A well-loved holiday tradition since 1938, Spode's Christmas Tree collection transforms a winter table into a forest of merrily decorated evergreens. This teacup and saucer set will keep conversations warm and cozy from Thanksgiving to the New Year. The 7-ounce teacup hosts a central Christmas tree on the exterior, piled with gifts and topped by Father Christmas, while mistletoe sprigs carry the festivities to the interior sides. The 5-1/2-inch saucer, sprinkled with holly and mistletoe, leaves plenty of room for a teaspoon or shortbread cookie. The pattern's signature green band circles the rims of both pieces for a well-tailored finish.
