My wife loves the Spode Christmas Tree set. I gave her these for Christmas this year (2010) and have had one of the spoons come apart from the ceramic handle. It was being used for mashed potatoes but still though it should be designed well enough to withstand that load - wasn't like I was shoveling concrete... No issues with the fork.
