Spode's Christmas Tree Oval Platter 16- 1/4 inch is a charming addition to the well dressed holiday table.A holiday favorite since its introduction in 1938, Spode's Christmas Tree pattern is their most well known and widely collected holiday pattern. Evoking the holidays with a traditional evergreen, the pattern creates a warm, folksy Christmas feel that families will look forward to year after year and hold dearly in their memories for generations. The trademark tree, seemingly decorated by young hands and ringed with brightly wrapped presents underneath, stands cheerily in the center of every piece. Charming, crafty decorations encircle the tree and Santa himself--bag slung over his shoulder--stands at the top. This oval platter is 16-inches long, an oversized version of the 14-inch platter that should suit even the largest bird, fish, or ham at a holiday gathering. The plate is white with the pattern's calling-card Christmas tree design at center; the rim of the plate is kissed with alternating mistletoe and holly, and the edges, which form an octagon and are slightly scalloped, are circled in a rich green border, creating a simple and vibrant holiday look. The buffet plate's made in England of Imperialware, Spode's high-quality earthenware, and is safe for the oven, dishwasher, freezer, and microwave.
