My mother had one of these lots of years ago. In the process of moving her stuff... and my stuff... it came up missing. Finally I found a replacement. FOr some things this can't be beat. No mess, no waste.
I have a spiral cutter for pasta spaghetti, but still use this for hard veggies like sweet potato, carrots, diakon, etc.
You won't be sorry. Cheap and neat.
Description of Spiral Slicer vegetable 4404
Use a knife or a corrugated garnishing tool to cut the vegetable into a cylinder shape. Insert the screw of the spiral slicer into the center of the top of the vegetable. Place your finger into the hole and turn the tool clockwise. Attach the ends of the spiral together with a toothpick. The Potato Spiral can be fried.Mandolines & Slicers
