I absolutely love this spatula. It can be used on cast-iron and, if you go with the Teflon stuff, nonstick pans. It won't scratch your pans like other spatulas. It does require a little more work in that you must wash and dry right away and then oil it to maintain the wood, but it's a good thing to get the dishes done right away regardless of what spatula you use. :) Think of it as encouragement for becoming less lazy!
It's very sturdy - you can definitely flip pancakes and crepes (vegan ones, too) with it.
