Every year at Christmas, my light bill goes up. Considering all the other extra expenses at Christmas, this is a time to find ways to save money while still enjoying Christmas.
I looked into solar Christmas lights and thought I would give this a try. I'm glad I did. The lights are smaller than I thought they would be, but they glow brightly enough to be seen from the street, which is the whole point. I particularly like the colors.
The description says the lights flash or twinkle, but the bottom of the unit says flashing or solid. I would have liked the twinkle lights, but flashing looks very nice.
I'll be getting another set for next year.

Of the 6 strings I bought only 4 work. I got them at the end on the christmas season last year so I have no receipt not to mention it took forever to get them since they sent the white ones first and I had to send them back. By the time I got the colored ones the decorations were coming down. Then when I put them out they are really weak compared to the plug in ones right next to them. They are convenient for areas you can't plug in or can't have a cord for (mine is on a walkway) but they could be better. I am rather disappointed in them and the packaging in VERY misleading.Customer Review: very disappointed

Have used other solar string lights(not q marketing) and they worked great but i wanted steady on not just flashing as the others do so i bought several sets of these for use outside in the winter in chicago. i recharge the batteries on cloudy days so after a couple of charges the wire broke where it goes into the collector. the wiring is so thin it gets VERY brittle when cold and just breaks without any hope of repair. this happened on at least 4 sets-only used 5-would not buy or recommend these lightsCustomer Review: disappointed and wont buy from 'as'seen'on'tv' again

This product was neither what I expected nor did it work consistently despite having the right environmental support. I was going to return it, but they have a clause that comes up stating that they are sellers only and wont exchange, but will send you the same product plus charge a 5 dollar restocking fee. This to me is very disappointing and I won't buy from them again. I did like the idea of buying solar, but would rather get it from a company that will guarantee the product for any reason.Customer Review: Nice Ideas, but it is far from bright enough

I have been wanting to hang Christmas lights for years but the wiring to outdoor always irks me. Finally, LED + solar power has elegantly addressed such concern. At least theoretically. While the light looks beautiful indoor, its outdoor performance is rather pale. My neighbors traditional lights quickly drown my lights with their brightness. With 50 lights, spreading them over 3 feet would not be feasible as they are just too weak to be beautiful.
