Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Smart Planet 9.25x9.75-in. Nonstick Mini Donut Maker.Customer Review: gluten free donuts Summary: 5 Stars
I used this product and was delighted that our family could make gluten free donuts. We used a Cherrybrook cake mix (also available through Amazon) and because this is a mini donut maker, the donuts cooked beautifully. Sometimes there are problems with gluten free items cooking in the middle. This maker was very easy to use, cleaned up quickly, and did make small but tasty donuts. Our celiac children and grandchildren were thrilled. The mini size was pefect for the pre-schoolers. The older kids just ate more of them. It is a winner.
Customer Review: Fun small kitchen appliance! Summary: 5 Stars
We love the mini donut maker! My kids love donuts and I love healthy eating and this donut maker allows us all to be happy with baked, not fried, donuts that are ready in a few minutes! It comes with a recipe that we've tweaked to be a healthy donut -- chocolate wheat are our favorite. We've had a good time with all the topping possibilities too. I'm thinking of giving it as a gift too. (The donuts do taste different from the fried fair food, but they are a hot, fresh, and inexpensive treat at home anytime!)
Customer Review: Great for the price! Summary: 4 Stars
I recently purchased this item, and have been quite pleased with it. The wells are small, and make cute mini donuts. I have baked both yeast and cake type donuts and have gotten good results with both. As far as kitchen gadgets go, this one is pretty cool.
Customer Review: Perfect Gift Summary: 5 Stars
I bought this for my sister for Christmas. She loved it. It's easy to use, makes small portions and can be a healthier alternative to fried donuts. The recipe that came with it was good also. It's a hit at their home.
