I have read the reviews and was a little nervous to buy it but said what the hell. I love it. The base is VERY easy to put together and is a must have to make the machine look like a real vendor. Also there are instructions included and my advice is, read them and follow them. I would bet a lot of people who talk about jamming problems didn't read the loading instructions which tell you to unplug the machine before loading. Also I plugged mine in and in a matter of minutes I could feel it cooling off the inside. I would buy this vendor again.Customer Review: The skybox base

Just got the base in, and put it together in about an hour by myself. So far so good... the only confusing part was which screws went where. All the black screws hold up the sides and back, use the gold ones with the extra gold loop (I am a girl so I have no idea what these are called) use those for the wheels and the tiny flat head screws for the main door hinges.I hope this helps, it took me awhile because the manual never explains what screws go where!I should get the refrigeration part this week, i will keep you posted.

The price is not too bad, the size is a plus. The bottom stand is difficult to assemble. It keeps things nice and cold. I needed service 3 weeks after i got it, between service calls, ordering parts and everything 10 months went by, finally I demanded a new unit. It came the day my warranty was up. The replacement unit does not function well either, so here we go again Thank goodness I did take out the 3 year extended warranty, please make sure you have that if you get a skybox, you will need it.Customer Review: Lack of panels :(

I love my skybox, originally I gave it 3 stars because it didn't cool to my desired temperature. But I got a technician out to fix it. He replaced the thermostat and now it is much better. But the reason I give it 4 stars is because Maytag has very poor timing and problems with supplying this thing. Panels are back ordered 1 month on Maytags site. I did find a supplyer of beverage cards, at www.skyboxcards.com. But, I really wish maytag did a better job having the machine and accessories avaiable.Customer Review: Pleasantly Surprised!

I hesitated buying this due to the negative reviews. I found this on Amazon for $325 (shipping included) and thought, "What a deal!" I ordered it, and had it the same week! Set up was a breeze, the box base went together smoothly, and I had it all done, set, and loaded within an hour! Cold (yes, plenty cold) drinks followed within 2 hours! Either Maytag got their stuff together and fixed the concerns, or I got lucky - either way, I highly recommend this for the ultimate home bar or garage!
