I've been addicted to Oxo Dish Wands, OXO Good Grips 1225600 Soap Squirting Glass and Dish Wand(currently less expensive online at 'Bed Bath and Beyond'), for years, but they do require meticulous care in order to keep them from rotting and stinking. I had been sticking the wand sponge side up into a large (32 oz.) plastic drink cup, but even though I rinse the sponge and then squeeze as much excess water as possible from it after each use, I eventually ended up with a pool of fetid water in the bottom of the cup. A plastic scratch pad placed in the cup bottom would still keep the handle dry, but I would occasionally tip the whole thing over when in a hurry.
No more! This Sink Caddy holds my Oxo Dish Wand and several sponges near at hand while it successfully drains any water that might leak from it after use. The extension support bar keeps it from falling off on my porcelain sink even if the suction cups start to lose their grip, after which I just gently push it back on before it falls off. It does attract some splash spots, but wiping it with a damp cloth is all it takes to keep it looking good.
