These slide around on the top of my counter, so i have to use them on top of a wood cutting board where they sit tight. Which is fine as it gives them a little height, which i like for chopping and the like. Having said that, they are excellent. It is so nice to just change them out during food prep, and toss them in the dishwasher for sanitation (who needs color coding). No more washing a bunch of heavy wood cutting boards after every meal. I use them all of the time and they have held up well. And when they wear out, I'll just buy more.Customer Review: happy x 4 / unhappy x 1

I have purchased a total of 5 sets of these mats and up until my last purchase in December 2003 was blissfully happy. I love this product and I use them all the time.
However the last set I bought for my Mom was defective and when I attempted to contact customer service - I didn't get any help. I finally talked to someone who assisted me and promised a replacement set was "on the way." However 4 months later I haven't gotten it and the message on their 800 customer service line is that they are closed indefinitely. Ahhhh!

I loved these for about two months. After that, they bent and would no longer lay flat, and the nonskid bottom was worthless. It's a good thing they were cheap because they were, well, cheap. I would recommend getting instead getting a good, solid cutting board and putting either a wet dishtowel under it or some of that nonskid shelf liner underneath. I also recently bought a real-size cutting board with nonskid "feet" on it that works great.
Do yourself a favor and spend a little more money to get a quality item.

I am totally satisfied with these cutting boards. Advantages: non-skid side; set of four individually colored to match with various foods prepared; flexibility is a great aid in being able to funnel the food off of the cutting "board"; they can be thrown in the dishwasher (top shelf) and I use the "sanitize" setting to insure their being okay for use with food. Very worthwhile product and a lot less expensive than all the different hard wood or bamboo cutting boards which can not be sanitized.Customer Review: Good concept but....

The concept of using different cutting areas for different foods is good, but I much rather cut on wood/bamboo than on these boards. I get the feeling that they won't last very long after enough slicing into them. I'll stick with a bamboo board for veggies and such, and then a thick plastic, easier-to-clean-and-disinfect board for meats. I've seen TV chefs use flexible boards like these to easily slide dry ingredients such as flour into a stand mixer, so I'll probably use them for that.
