Customer Review: Good unit, but may be out of production

I've owned one of these for about three years and just now learned that it was listed on Amazon. I discovered the listing here because I was searching for a solution to a problem with the GF-211D. That should tell you about the quality of the unit: three years of dependable service without a problem until now. And I found the solution to the problem in the owner's manual which I found online.
The unit may be out of production. It seems the line was taken over by Honeywell and merged into their Enviracare line. It is no longer listed on the Honeywell site.
We use the unit on a nightly basis in a large bedroom. It does a fine job of humidifying the room. We have no problem with blue LEDs on the unit and if the unit is making noise, I can't hear it.
The one thing I don't like is that the tank has to be refilled often, but you're going to run into that with any standalone humidifier.
As I said, three years of nightly operation during the winter and tonight was the first time I encountered any kind of problem. The problem was easily resolved by referring to the owner's manual. Quite frankly, that's the kind of product you want to own: trouble free and easy to fix when a problem shows up. Does what it promises to do.
