After at least 35 YEARS of use, my old Sharp mIcro/convection oven has begun to get a little tired and the Magnatron tube takes a little longer to microwave frozen dinners. The turntable is getting a little weird also but there are not too many things that last 35 years these days so I have decided to get a new R-820JS. I have used it almost every day and it has worked perfectly up to now. I use it on a cart as my primary oven in lieu of the built-in. I think this oven is the best appliance I have ever owned.Using the combo micro/convection roasting works just great & reduces cooking time while browning just like an older style oven.Customer Review: Very happy with this appliance

I had some hesitations regarding the looks of this product as it wasn't stainless steel (on the outside) but gray. I wanted it to match my stainless appliances and not stand out like a sore thumb. It looks great! I've not had any problems in the 7 weeks we've owned it (admittedly, that's not much time). The stainless steel interior is easy to clean and the multi-functionality of this appliance puts it steps above the average microwave / convection oven. It is easy to use with clear instructions. I keep the manual in the drawer below this countertop and reach for it when I want to try something new. I recommend the product.Customer Review: marvelous microwave!!

I did not think I would ever find a convection microwave that would work as well as the sharp microwave does and at such a good price !! I just got it today and am thrilled to own it. It puts my old microwave to shame the way it operates. My old one could not hold a candle to the Sharp and I definitely mean it is sharp all the way!! I just did not realize I would be able to ever afford a convection microwave until the Sharp came along. If you are looking for an above average microwave then this is the one for you, look no further. I advise everyone to buy it, I am glad I did.Customer Review: Who needs a stove??? Go Green!!!

This Sharp combo Convection Microwave is the greatest thing since sliced bread! ... It roasts, it bakes, it broils (I'm surprised it doesn't slice and dice!). It's a great microwave, fast and powerful and super **easy to clean!!** ... and I am seriously thinking about acquiring a good hot plate and giving the conventional oven the ol' heave ho! ... Who needs it anyway? It takes up too much space, it's too hard to clean, and uses too much energy! If you are only cooking for one or two, this is the way to go! I bought this microwave to replace my toaster oven and beat up old microwave. It does everthing i want it to do (grill/toast/bake/nuke). I would give it 5 stars if the tray had a non-stick lining. It has a groove that catches grease and food. And as we know grilling leaves charred food reamins that are a pain to get out. I wanted to put aluminum foil over the tray but the manual advised not to do so as it will cause sparks. I wonder is teflon is microwave safe. Overall it is good product for features and value.
