This is an incredible little machine. I've used all of the functions and they worked perfectly. One must use the owner's manual to program certain functions and it is more complicated (since it does more) than the Whirlpool Gold micro/convention oven it replaced. I love that I can grill (vs. frying) since grease does not splatter all over the kitchen. The interior is a breeze to clean. I've now donated several other small appliances (toaster oven, 2 GF grills) to Goodwill so it has also freed up extra kitchen storage space.Customer Review: Sharp microwaves are #1

I had a Sharp Microwave/Convection oven for 20 years. It was a bit larger than this one but cost $500. new. I certainly got my money's worth from the old one and I expect the same from this one. Forget the "bargain" ones at the big box stores made in China, they are junk! And the best part is: I live in Mass., so I didn't pay sales tax or shipping and it came in 2 days. I haven't tried grilling hamburgers yet, but I'm sure they will come out just fine. This is a perfect companion to my Jenn-Air downdraft stove.Customer Review: Great choice in a combo unit

I purchased this unit as a replacement for a compact microwave. It was a little larger and much heavier than expected but works extremely well. The microwave is used primarily for reheating and defrosting but I've already used the Roast feature several times (convection + microwave) which work GREAT! I don't have to heat up the regular oven for meatloaf, casseroles, etc. anymore - saving time and electricity.
Overall - very happy with this unit! Oh - and by the way - Amazon rocks!

I bought this microwave because it has plenty of features, but I rarely use this as a toaster oven etc. I have been using this product for over 6 months now. I noticed that it takes too long to heat up products. This microwave has a problem. The revolving plate inside the unit needs to be higher. If you are trying to warm a dish with low height, it just takes too long. I then inverted a dinner plate on this revolving plate to increase the height and this seems to fix the problem.Customer Review: Sharp R-820BK Convection Microwave.

I purchased the Sharp Convection Microwave to replace the one in my Pace Arrow Moter Home, Class A 36 ft long. I received the order with no damage to the product. Being that the product was identical in everyway to the one that came with the motor home it fit perfect into the cabinet above the stove. I removed the damaged microwave and installed it myself with a little help from my neighbor. It works perfectly with no defects. I recomend this item. Dale McNall-Retired Engineer.
