I bought one of these blenders 4 or 5 years ago and it's awesome. I use it almost daily. The blades on my shaker bottles were starting to get a little dull, perhaps because I use the dishwasher as opposed to hand washing immediately after use. At either rate, I ordered some new shaker bottles from Amazon.com and was sent the blender instead. I decided to keep the blender and use my old one as a spare. That idea only lasted a single use because the new blender was incapable of blending the exact same ingredients I've used hundreds of times on the blender. And, the motor now smells of overheating. So, I'm not sure if I got a bad batch or if the quality of the electic motors has been reduced since my first purchase. I hope not. I was planning on using this product for the rest of my life as it is a very convenient product.Customer Review: too bad this doesn't work better

The concept is great but the mechanics of the design are fatally flawed. I got one of these and it worked fine, and so I ordered a few as gifts. Most of them don't work, and the main problem is the way the bottle interacts with the base. This is made even worse by bad workmanship. The tabs pop out, the links don't connect, etc. It is very frustrating to have gifts fail to work. I ordered one for my daughter; it won't work at all; I ordered another, and its tabs jump off. This needs a technical re-design to be a reliable and satisfactory product to live up to the good idea.Customer Review: Makes my protein shakes a lot easier

I admit. I was leary about this product, which I received as a gift. After letting it sit in my cabinet for a month, it is now become the product I cannot live without. I drink protein shakes at least once a day and this is a FANTASTIC way to blend the protein with liquid and a banana. Love it. I've also used it for regular smoothies without complaint. I highly recommend it. I have had absolutely no problem with it blending ice or any frozen fruit and I have been using it for about 2 mos now on a daily basis. If it broke, I would honestly replace it in a heart beat.Customer Review: Shake and Take

When I received the first product the base was defective, I simply called customer service and they sent another unit out immediately. Turns out I was WRONG, I just wasn't pushing the button hard enough, I called to stop the order and was told to just keep one as a spare, I've never had to use the spare because this one is still going strong after maybe 2 yrs. I love this product, the bottles are dishwasher safe and it's a quick easy way to make a healthy breakfast when time isn't on your side. I purchased the Shake 'n Take personal blender about 3 weeks ago locally (Meijer). I use it twice a day to blend up a mixture of juice, frozen and fresh fruits, and protein for pre- and post-workout nourishment. I love it. I haven't had any problems blending anything I've thrown in. The motor and blades seem very capable. It's the perfect size. It's quick, it's easy, and was well priced. The only negative is the bottle can't take hot liquids...like dishwasher temperatures. This is a minor issue as it is easy enough just to hand wash when necessary.
